03-06-2009 - Staff day

Yes.. today the school is having a staff day.. Last week, my LC asked me whether i'm going or not.. i initially rejected.. (programmes they have are financial talk and blah blah..) and considering i will be away on course for the next two days.. and one leave on monday.. i rejected as i would like to clear some work but it turns out that i can't do much with the system undergoing upgrading except for books mending (which i specially "save" them and let them pile up high (to my waist!) so i can do them during my free time during the holidays)

But on monday.. my LC told me that they are going to buy books for the library (initial plan is tommorrow when i'm away for course!) i already missed the book display shopping spree.. i would not like to miss out! haha~ so after considering i clear quite a number of work.. i decided to join in..

i had to wake up earlier than usual for this event.. i went to school and took the bus provided as the event is held in a hotel function room.. The thing is all of us have to wake up very early but no breakfast is provided! And luckily i took my breakfast beforehand.. The event is okay.. just that the talks are okay.. we have talk on stress management, excercise, yoga (the breathing techniques) and the financial talk is not benefical at all.. Somehow the teachers feels that.. There's no reason to travel all the way to town.. We can just have it in school and can have better activities like last year (i didn't attend as i got some work to clear as again - i'm away for course the next day) but i love the lunch today! hehe~

Anyway the event end early than expected.. the moment we know we can leave.. we immediately jump off from our seat (we finished our lunch) and head to kinokuniya for books shopping spree.. There's are 5 of us.. Each of us are given a scanner each.. so whatever books we want.. we just have to scan the barcode.. Haha even though i prefer to grab the books which made it feels more realistic! Total we got about 80 books.. Actually more.. As i feel it would be tedious for us to scan all the books if they came in series.. We actually spent more than 2.5hours in the store!

Too bad the list from Kinokuniya will be mail to my LC later but i'm not in school to double check or add~
