30-07-2009 - Busy week

As my LC is going on maternity leave at the end of this week (which is tomorrow or monday..) There are 1001 things and events i have to keep in mind and keep track of.. So this few days we are grabbing whatever chance we have to finalise the stuffs and the temporary "duties" i have to handle during her absence..

We just work with each other for less than a year so alot of things we still trying to adapt(like the style of working).. After all when i started this job.. My ex LC is quite experience.. So its more like whatever she say, i do but my advices/doubts/questions are always welcome and taken in.. In some situations i can make my own decisions too..

With this new LC.. I'm thankful that she get me more involve with quite a number of decisions (but sometimes i feels its better for me to be the "adviser" than being a decision maker as i'm not a influence-r or have the power to make things work with the help i will need).. And thankful that problems that i have in doubts for years are open up to me and i get to know the reasons behind them..

Conclusion: I'm getting more involve than just being the "worker" here..

Its actually not the first time my LC is away for a long period.. Same time last year.. My ex LC(which is my LC that time) is away for course for 5months but things i have to oversee is not as much as i have to do this year..

Therefore the stress level is getting higher especially this week but hopefully i can do a good job during her absence..

Wish me luck!

Today she popped a question which more or less i want her to know so she wont "ahem" increase too much of my workload thinking i got most of the amount billed to the school from my company which is not even half of the amount!

She popped that question because she afraid that if my company's contract is not being renew by the ministry that means ministry will send a new staff down which she dont want.. But she mentioned the word "part-time".. then i replied "if that the case.. it depends on how much you are paying".. But i highly doubt the possibility that my company wont get to renew the contract according to my ZC (manager from the company..)

Only time will tell.. =)
